History of The Church

The story of the Church did not end with the Book of Acts. After the apostles completed their mission and Scripture was finished, generations of believers continued to shape the direction of Christianity—sometimes preserving biblical truth, and sometimes drifting from it. This section examines what happened next. Here, you will explore key events, leaders, decisions, and cultural forces that influenced the Church after the Bible was written. Our purpose is not to elevate human tradition but to understand how and why the Church changed over time, always measuring history against the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

Every topic in this section is approached with one standard: What does the Bible say? By looking honestly at church history—including moments of faithfulness and moments of compromise—we gain clarity about where Scripture was upheld and where later beliefs or practices were introduced that did not originate with the apostles. This helps us stand firmly on biblical truth today, with a deeper awareness of how easily human ideas can overshadow what God has already spoken.

If anything here challenges what you were taught, that is perfectly okay. Do your own research. Start with the Bible as your highest authority, and then examine credible historical records. When you follow the evidence with an open heart, you will discover that the truth does not need to be defended—it simply needs to be seen.
